About Richard Wolinsky
He has produced a book interview program at KPFA since 1978. From 1978-1992, Richard edited the KPFA Folio Program Guide, a now defunct 28-32 page tabloid with detailed program listings and articles. Since 1992, he has been a freelance writer, publicist, and journalist. He has written one unpublished novel, and is currently working on an oral history of science fiction, to be published in 1999 by San Francisco's Tachyon Press. Wolinsky also served as host of the occasional KPFA program Broadway Madness from 1987 to 1993, and received an honorable mention from NFCB in 1992 for his documentary The Bernstein Legacy.
About Richard Lupoff
He is the author of more than 40 books, including criticism, mysteries, and science fiction. He has also served as a book reviewer for the Washington Post, San Francisco Chronicle, and Los Angeles Times. In 1960 he won the coveted Hugo Award for his magazine Xero, and has since been nominated for several Hugo and Nebula awards for his fiction. Equally at home in broadcast and print media, he has worked in radio ever since his stint writing the evening news for WIOD in Miami, Florida, in 1955. His long experience in radio is reflected in his novel, The Radio Red Killer. His credits include teaching at several universities as well as several tours of duty as a screen writer.
