Ensure KPFA's future
Join the Lew Hill Heritage Society and make a difference. The Lew Hill Heritage Society is a group
of KPFA supporters who have chosen to support the station's future
by including KPFA as a beneficiary in their wills or planned giving
trusts. As a member of the society, you will keep KPFA a strong,
listener supported, independent radio voice in Northern and Central
California. With the advent of streaming audio, KPFA's voice can
now be heard around the world via the Internet. Bequests help
build KPFA's endowment and capital projects.
KPFA offers several ways to set up your life income plan.
The No Fuss Trust
KPFA offers the simplest of life income plans. The Trust works
like a mutual fund and starts as easily as a savings account.
Gifts from station supporters are pooled and invested in socially-responsible
funds carefully chosen by the Pacifica Foundation. Each No Fuss
Trust supporter receives a quarterly income for life, based on
Trust annual earnings. After the supporter's lifetime, the principal
is transferred in his/her name to the KPFA Programming Endowment
Fund where the income is put to work. The No Fuss Trust is technically
known by the IRS as a pooled income fund.
Charitable Remainder Trust
This Trust has the same benefits as the No Fuss Trust, with a
minimum gift of $100,000. KPFA has helped many subscribers meet
specific concerns with this type of trust.
