Women's Magazine: Bangladesh, Breast Cancer and the Right to Self-Defense

Tinku Ishtiaq, cofounder of South Asian LGBT organization Trikone and former co-chair of the International Gay and Lesbian Human Rights Commission discusses the situation for LGBT people in Bangladesh, and the impact of the twin crises in factory disasters and militant religious opposition to the government.  We also look at the life and work of Barbara Brenner, long-time director of Breast Cancer Action who died recently.  Plus an upcoming fundraiser for the New Jersey 4, African American lesbians who received harsh prison sentences for defending themselves against misogynist attack.
