The Hear and Now Presents Todd Sickafoose's Tiny Resistors

Led by bassist/composer Todd Sickafoose, Tiny Resistors includes violinist Jenny Scheinman, clarinetist Ben Goldberg, cornet player Kirk Knuffke, guitarist Adam Levy, pianist Erik Deutsch, accordionist Rob Reich, and drummer Allison Miller--an all-star band of New York and West Coast musicians versed in jazz, folk, pop, and improvised music. Hosted by Derk Richardson, they perform live in the KPFA studio, previewing the premiere of the Chamber Music America–commissioned piece BEAR PROOF at the Freight and Salvage Coffeehouse in Berkeley on Friday, April 11. Tune in for music of extraordinary depth, texture, and expression.
