Val Ibarra speaks with Mimi Lok and Audrey Petty of the Mission-based Voice of Witness.  Voice of Witness uses oral history to illuminate human rights crisis.  In High-Rise Stories: Voices from Chicago Public Housing, they tell the stories of the people displaced by the demolition of Chicago’s high-rise public housing, which reflects both gentrification and privatization and new approaches to urban design.

Then Kate Raphael talks with artist Nancy Cato about her solo show, “Tomboy,” showing at the African American Art & Culture Complex as part of the National Queer Arts Festival.  Nancy discusses growing up as a tomboy and how she is crafting her identity as a Black lesbian artist.
