The Week Starts Here -- Robin Williams: Is there a link between the creative process & depression?

Producer/Host Veronica Faisant and Clinical Psychologist, Author, Radio & TV host Dr. Brenda Wade discuss Robin Williams, the public's reactions to his passing and theories re. the causes of clinical depression.

Dr. Wade's background in physical science, along with decades of treating clients who struggle with depression, support her theory of genetic factors being pivotal in the manifestation of mental illness.  Dr. Wade believes Clinical depression is treatable.

Host, Veronica Faisant explores, what she considers, the tension between creative expression, and American society's discomfort with non-conformity.  Creative individuals are often scapegoated and isolated in the emotional sense.

Hello Veronica, I have known

Hello Veronica,

I have known Brenda for 31 years as I indicated when I called in to your show on Depression, Creativity and the legendary Robin Williams.

I believe that you and Brenda were my Angels that evening...guiding me back to the deeply powerful feeling that I CAN heal and live a happy life by utilizing the principles of her MEDDSS system.

I LOVED the attributes of 'SisterHood' that you both characterize together! It was a great show...and a 'Moment In Time' that is changing my mindset.

I am at 'The Turning Point' now...MUSIC & LAUGHTER follow.

Much Love,

Angela Ezenta-Eze Tate (aka 'Ace')

I found Dr Wade on of the

I found Dr Wade on of the most closed minded and obnoxious person that I have ever listened to; Neither Veronica or her callers were allowed to complete a sentence before this lady cut in to tell them what she knew about what they were trying to say:One caller tried to tell her that Robin Williams was taking medication that may cause suicide, she was cut off by Dr Wade.

Dear Veronica, We all have

Dear Veronica,

We all have bad days, however, you were extremely rude to Dr. Wade last night. You interupted her when she was making a very good point about mass hypmosis. You did not even have a good point and you were wrong.

I am happy that you have your platform, it must of took a certain amount of ego to get where you are.

I believe that jealously,of the Dr.s brilliance, caused you to act like a fool last night.

I will still listen, however, in the future talk what you preach.
