AB 654 is a controversial bill currently making its way through the California State Assembly. If it passes it will pave the way for the legalization of physician-assisted suicide. Two long-time disability rights advocates, Pam Fadem and Paul Longmore shared their viewpoints on the political and social implications of this bill recently at a community meeting hosted by the Independent Living Resource Center of San Francisco. Pushing Limits has adapted their comments for broadcast.
