Hosts K’Dee and Antoine interview Kelvin Long who discusses the water issues in the southwest, including the development of a ski resort on the SF Peaks and the effort to prevent the use of reclaimed water to develop artificial snow for a ski resort. Kelvin profiles native organizations involved in water issues such as Black Mesa Water Coalition, the Black Mesa Trust, and ECHOES – Educating Communities While Healing and Offering Environmental Support. A longer interview is with the three native Grand Marshals selected for the Gay Parades in Minneapolis and San Francisco. Randy Burns, Paula Gunn Allen and Richard LaFortune all represent the native Two Spirit community and have been selected to lead the parades. They discuss their involvement and activism and some of the lgbt issues within and outside the native community. We also have Ras K’Dee’s “Luv Da Way” and the Bay Area Indian Calendar.
