Voices of the Middle East and North Africa - December 21, 2005

On this week's program, we will hear an interview with Maria Lahood, a lawyer with the Center for Constitutional Rights, where she talks about the class action lawsuits against Avi Dichter and Moshe Ya'alon for violating human rights and committing war crimes against Palestinians. Avi Dichter is former Chief of Shin Bet, Israel's internal security service. Retired Lieutenant-General Moshe Ya'alon is former Chief of Staff of Israel's military forces.

Later in the program, we will hear the first part of a two part series on the music of Gnawa Diffusion and the inspiration behind this prominent Algerian band led by Amazigh Kateb.
