On this week’s program, we will first hear a conversation with Sociology Professor Nacira Guenif Souilamas, of the University of Paris, who will talk to us about the stigmatization of the so-called Arab male within French society, which in large part led to the riots in the French suburbs in November 2005.
Later in the program, we will speak with Palestinian-Lebanese filmmaker Maya Sanbar and her co-director Jeff Saunders about their documentary "World Cup, InshaAllah," which relates the heroic efforts of forming, training and attempting to qualify a Palestinian national team for the Soccer World Cup 2006.
