Theme: feminist art. Highlights: The Kearny Street Workshop’s presentation of the Eight Annual APAture Window on the Aarp of the Asian Pacific Americans; a new one-woman show by local artist Jovelyn Richards showing this weekend at New College in San Francisco; poems by South Asian women; a tribute to Sandra Tellis, a woman who was a recent victim of a brutal assault in Oakland.

The Kearny Street Workshop provides an annual interdisciplinary art event presenting the work of emerging Asian Pacific American artists living or working in the San Francisco Bay Area. South Asian poet Rupa Singh interviews Nancy Hom, the Kearny Street Workshop co-founder and Nirmala Nataraj, the coordinator of this year’s Eight Annual APAture Event. Coral Randal interviews Jovelyn Richards, a local artist and comedienne with a new one-woman performance called, A Woman, An Orchestra, and One Martini showing this weekend at New College in San Francisco. Later, Women’s Magazine presents a tribute to Sandra Tellus, a woman who was a recent victim of a brutal assault in Oakland.
