Chuy Varela will be hosting a special tribute to Tex Mex superstar Freddy Fender starting at 7 pm. Fender, who died on Saturday at the age of 69 had a string of chart topping hits that started in the mid 1970’s with his first single "Before The Next Teardrop Falls". The three time grammy award winner also was part of the all star groups "The Texas Tornados" and "Los Super Seven" in recent years. Chuy will be featuring interviews that he conducted with Fender as well as a musical career retrospective on this influential artist.
