In this week's program, Armin will speak to UC Santa Cruz Professor Paul Ortiz on the question of colonialism, past and present, through the eyes of two of the 20th century's most powerful and seminal thinkers on the subject: Edward Said and Frantz Fanon.

Later in the program, an interview with two local activists, Manny Lopez and Mary Prophet on the Crisis in Public Education Conference that is scheduled to take place at Laney College in Oakland on Saturday, December 9; also in the program, a special tribute to the great traditional Syrian singer/composer Sabri Modallal, who passed away in August.
