Denny Smithson interviews author, journalist, and film producer, Barbara Becnel. She was a close friend and advocate for Crips co-founder, Stanley Tookie Williams. She edited Williams's series of children's books which spoke out against gang violence. Ms. Becnel also co-produced the film, Redemption: The Stan Tookie Williams Story and most recently ran as a democratic candidate for governor.
