The Morning Show – March 4, 2008

The Morning Show examines the presidential primaries in Texas and Michigan with Jim Hightower, National radio commentator, his latest book, "Swim Against the Current, Even a Dead Fish Can Go With the Flow," and Leigh Ann Caldwell, Washington correspondent for Free Speech Radio News.  Followed by a conversation with Claire Hope Cummings, environmental lawyer and author of "Uncertain Peril: Genetic Engineering and the Future of Seeds".

In the second hour a preview of the California Supreme Court’s hearing this morning of arguments in a case that may reverse the ban on same sex marriage with Kate Kendell, Executive Director of the Center for Lesbian Rights, and Jewelle Gomez and Diane Sabin, two of the plaintiffs in the case. Wrapping up the program, Kathleen Goodwin and Richard Blair, author/photographers, discuss a very different type of coffee-table book, titled, "California Trip".
