The Morning Show – July 17, 2008

The Morning Show discusses Canadian government’s decision to expel an American war resistor, then Jane Mayer, author of "THE DARK SIDE: The Inside Story of How The War on Terror Turned into a War on American Ideals." Followed by an interview with Malalai Joya—considered by many to be the bravest woman in Afghanistan. She was also the youngest woman to be elected to the country’s parliament before being kicked out for accusing the country’s leaders of being warlords who should be tried for war crimes. Wrapping up the program Noam Chomsky, Prof Emeritus of Linguistics at MIT, in a live interview gives his interpretation of the current political scene.
