In 1886, the movement for the 8-hour workday erupted when a bombing at a rally lead to the unjust convictions of eight anarchist organizers. There have been several attempts to memorialize the Haymarket Tragedy through permanent monuments. Art historian Nicolas Lampert talks about the complexities of permanent monuments which represent only one perspective and limit participation. Josh MacPhee discusses his new anthology, "Realizing the Impossible: Art Against Authority."
