Terra Verde - Is coal really the new green?

Coal-mining communities propose alternatives to Clean Coal. Some people say that green is the new black.  Last year, some people started saying that coal is the new green, with the emergence of the term “Clean Coal” in the public discourse on energy.  By the end of the election primaries last year, we knew that, regardless of the outcome, we would have a President who favored “clean coal.”  But some coal-mining communities have green energy proposals of their own…proposals that don’t involve coal.  Tune in to learn more with guests Black Mesa Water Coalition, Coal River Mountain Wind Project, and Rainforest Action Network.
