Nina Serrano and guest author Diana Block discuus Diana's book "ARM THE SPIRIT: A WOMAN'S JOURNEY UNDERGROUND AND BACK," a memoir to be released later this month by AK Press. It chronicles Block's story from her FBI escape with her two-week old infant and 5 companions (militantly active in the struggle for Puerto Rican independence) to a ten-year underground life, raising
two children and juggling security, solidarity and motherhood. Diana will read excerpts from ARM THE SPIRIT bringing
a woman's perspective to a subject typically dominated by heroic, male
discourse.
