Various analysis by different political positions have
tried to analyze the recent events in the Middle East.
Of these analysis, the liberal approaches have put the
main emphasis on the political effects of events like
invasion of Iraq or Afghanistan. What has been missing
in these discussions is a Marxist analysis and outlook
on explaining the overall direction of these policies
and their relationship to the domestic policies in the
US. Today, we will go over some of the issues
with respect to the subject of oil and the economic as
well as political crisis inherent in the current
capitalist system. We have conducted an interview with
Dr CYRUS BINA the Professor of Economics and
management at the University of Minnesota.
