Laufer and Venezuelan lawyer Maria Gonzala Martinez Barros are on the board of a Venezuelan foundation that advocates for indigenous peoples, she joins the conversation from her home in Acarigua Portuguesa state.

Parabens are used as preservatives in many skin care products. In the second hour Debra Lynn Dadd, author of Home Safe Home: Creating Healthy Home Environments by Reducing Exposure to Toxic Household Products, joins Peter along with Brenda Salgado, program manager at Breast Cancer Action, to answer listeners' questions.
