Jazz giant John Coltrane's exploration of Indian music in the 1960's is portrayed through Anthony Brown's Asian American Orchestra. A talk with Brown about the spirit and sound quest of Coltrane. And, the ethnic press is an endangered media. We talk with Kenji Taguma--editor of the Nichi Bei Times--about the closure of this Japanese American paper that chronicles the community and the possibility of the Times becoming a nonprofit.
