The Hear & Now - Live perfomance by Rachel Efron and the Nice Guy TrioTwo Bay Area rising-star acts--singer-songwriter/pianist Rachel Efron, and the Nice Guy Trio (trumpeter Darren Johnston, accordionist Rob Reich, bassist Daniel Fabricant)--play live in the studio tonight and chat with host Derk Richardson.
Both have fantastic new CDs--Efron's "4AM" and "Here Comes the Nice Guy Trio"--and upcoming CD release shows. Efron (http://www.rachelefron.com ) peforms with her full ensemble Weds., Nov. 4, at Yoshi's Oakland. The Nice Guy Trio (http://www.myspace.com/niceguytrio ) plays Mon., Nov. 2, at Yoshi's San Francisco, with special guests Ben Goldberg (clarinet), Sameer Gupta (percussion), Meklit Hadero (voice), and David Phillips (pedal steel). http://www.yoshis.com
