For your archives, could you always lists the guests and topics. This makes it easier to listen to the programs that a scheduling conflict has made me miss. Your program is one I do not like to miss.
Don't let 'em pick on your music, I love your musical picks, always very informed. It's funny when folks complain that your economic forecast isn't upbeat enough. Reminds me of that Mose Allison tune, "if I was selling fantasy I'd be a millionaire."
did you understand the 'content', the words? It certainly wasn't about the 'music', was it supposed to be?
From your comment about the first song, I gather you expect we understood any of it, that it didn't just come across as muddy clangor... Funny...
Fascinating interview on income inequality and taxations. The rich in poor countries are never as rich in rich countries, and they are also not as selfish, self-absorbed and narcisstic - because many of these poor countries have a stronger culture of inter-dependency that requires the rich to share more with family, relatives and those who are respected, revered and must be protected by the best earning member.
English speaking countries have shown greater concentration of wealth! Are there some sociological, cultural and religious explanation for this "English speaking countries' " attitude to money, wealth and power?
Time for English speaking people to confront English speaking people (mostly Anglos). Morons in the Midwest, sorry for being blunt (my wife will be upset), complain about a few outsourced jobs to handbag makers who make 50 cents an hour. If this bothers the Whites of Midwest and the South then why don't they make better bags...and why don't they stop asking $100 to fix hair.
