Yet, another book; yes, I have many of the others by Jack. As the century moves forward, pornographic reminds me. Tame the chaos of California. Welcome, Jack and his hard work. Pretend it isn't there. Working on it for ten years or more. As a nurse, I was speaking to a Medical Doctor who I' d developed a running speaking, talking, socially polite relationship. When I asked him if his surname indicated any realtionship to a well known poet, she writes pornography was his reply. He never spoke to me again. Please, don't be so arrogant to even suggest the possibility to tame poetry and /or California. That's what is just ahead of the cutting edge of any rapier of social comment and justice.
The tent of poetry is large with room for everyone has long been one of Jack's mantra's for decades. He always has many tidbits in three categories, need to know, nice to know and nuts to know. He does carry on; both the tradition and rallying cry for a sanity into maddness.
I too, could go on but you the indivdual must go and buy or check out of library this two volume tome. It has compliled the forbidden and the forgotten. Poets and poetry and the world in which they lived can be gleaned. His errors on display yes, but how many of you have the courage to even flay out your self for public excoriation. Don't forgive him; speak in awe and wonderment at what he has done and the foundation or start you homages. You are witnessing history outside of academia. Best wishes and warmest thoughts to the opening and launching of your tome, Jack slan.
