Mr Wolfe is thourogh, not

Mr Wolfe is thourogh, not dumb. If you want him to repond to Chomsky, he will, and would probably agree. He is simply methodical.

This country is stolen,You

This country is stolen,You will always be illegal in a country that celebrates white supremacy. They killed non whites to get it,they will do it all again to keep it! You dont get to live in first world countries unless you kill the originals. It's good to see so called latinos getting their"your a nigger cards validated"

Interesting show, but I am

Interesting show, but I am not a fan of Vargas. I love that idea that Clinton's response to giving driver's licenses to illegals as muddled and that all illegals want to do is drive to work and drive their kids to school. He means: drive to work to take American jobs and drive kids to mooch off American schools. This guy ought to be deported...or how about giving him a nice long-term overseas post? Wake up America...illegals shouldn't be "outted," they shoudl be deported. I work in China and I promise you that if I'm found to be illegal, I will be deported. Any country in which I've ever lived and worked required legal status or I faced deportation. We have become a soft-bellied , slow-witted lot and so deserve what we get.

just go back where you came

just go back where you came from - or where your grand parents came from.

Thanks for challenging this

Thanks for challenging this passionate 'ra-ra" Wolfe, who appears to be a Wolf in Progressive clothing, to own up to the history of the debt ceiling...and not just pointing fingers at one man. Why doesn't Wolfe say something about the Congress and the various institutions that have played this game, causes the problem and have allowed this crap to go on for years.

Can we have a debate between Geitner and Ron Paul? You got Geitner who is trying to communicate the importance of raising the debt ceiling (and he knows the seriousness as he speaks Chinese fluently, and is a big buddy of Greenspan who consults with China a great deal.) We know how much wonderful contribtion Greenspan made to the American economy.

Geitner has admitted that the debt ceiling is very important and the sky could fall because of it. But Republicans are the ones who are playing this game...and yet Wolfe is praising Bush!!! Do you see the oddity in this?

Congress members are part of the "crazy theater". Does Wolfe not see this? Why do they keep voting for these people? Does Wolfe ever ask that? He seems to hate Democrats more so than the Republicans, and actually goes on and on about how Bush raised the ceiling.
Which is it?

You want to criticize Capitalism start paying attention to all the insitutions...and stop expecting one guy to do it all without losing an election (which would not achieve anything) or have his chest blown off (as some guys in your other radio show admitted might happen).

Many economists know that not raising the debt ceiling is serious but the sky is not falling. Where is the real economic balance in what Wolfe says...while he praises Bush. Praises Bush!!!

Is Verges going to take on Arizona, Georgia and other places.

The praise is not praise -

The praise is not praise - there's money to be had. Raising the debt ceiling allows people to get it. The problem - besides the cost of blowing people and towns and cities and lions and weeds and bugs away - is the distorting system. Borrowing is how the system maintains. I'm not an economics teacher and I don't know if I'll ever be able to, but it can be explained - why to do it, that it'd be good for people to keep their houses that way, for people to be able to get incomes.
Again, the problem is capitalism. Raising the debt mitigates the horror for huge numbers of people. Casting out capitalism and working to build the struggle for socialism is the alternative.

I think the question is

I think the question is historical: are we flies in oozing amber or is there human agency? Like Nabakov I groan at the idea of Lenism, and also Napolean..Wolfe is open to ideation, though slow to getting to them. In advanced countries, what is scary is the right wing, not the banks. Greece is an example.
