It boggles the mind that you call this "the news" when 10 minutes into the hour, the show starts propagandizing about the personal issues of the reporter. I mean, really. With the police killing people, corporations rum amuck, the environment failing: I'm supposed to get exercised about the outcome of employee complaints and legal bills? Can KPFA employees just try to remember what they are paid to do? Advocacy journalism is one thing. Calling your personal grievances "the news" is quite another. Yuck.
