You are right. The false

You are right. The false sense of feeling that you are somehow doing good by flattening the pie is counter intuitive to a healthy, functioning economic paradigm.

I suppose that in our imperfect society, a little imbalance can go a long way.

I have blogged some more

I have blogged some more comments on David Graeber's new book on debt at http://persistentstruggle.blogspot.com/
I would love to hear your comments.

Fascinating interview on

Fascinating interview on debt. I rarely learn anything new in many interviews, but in this one I learned how pretentious equality leads to debt, control and enslavement versus those cultures which had social stratifications - hence debt rarely occured (or was minimal). I had heard this years ago, but did not believe it until your interview with the author of "Debt: 5,000 year history". You are right: debt gives people a false sense that they are part of an egalitarian society. Fantastic point.
