That was much too much personal information.I loathe Obama because I let my gaurd down. Never again. I also hate myself for letting my gaurd down and hoping. Do not pollute this space with despair. I fucked up, as did you, in uncountable ways.
White people being sellouts and con artists...I agree! I don't condone that. My grandmother worked as a maid in many rich White folks home in the East coast..and she talked about their rudeness, cheapness, cunning, exploitation and abuse. Imagine what it was like before "labor laws went into place"? It'd be like some parts of India where five year olds are made to work, and educated women can't be anything but servants, slaves or second class citizens in their own communities or country. And the greatest achievement is that they could be secretaries, assistants to politicians and wives of rich men. Greatest achievement! I agree with you Bro...just don't assume people inside my community or your ain't a sell out. Many are! That is why the system continues the way it is. Get everybody informed and educated...but always promote and the protect the smart ones in the pack...they are always targeted by the smart shrewd savvy snakes on the other side. Okay bro? Chill out!

Language that comes out of some peopleon this website only gives more political weapons to others who use "lack of decent communication, courtesy, thoughtfulness, andlack of support towards people in other communities and minority groups, etc." as an excuse to attack. Know who your real enemies are.. Stop getting violent, selective in your knowledge and don't push people to ther other side. Think before you talk and write. Who the heck is a bas--- German? Try Hungarian, Romanian...moron. There are people with my last name in many parts of Eastern Europe...which is where my grandparents are from. And my wife, soon to be ex, is colored moron!

The program provided a scary insight into how communities are being treated by the police - who should protect, in stead of "shooting and killing" innocent people. The earlier writer did not talk about violence in many districts across California where Blacks, poor people, immigrants, people of color...are being targetted often. What is Ms. Maxine Waters doing about this? I like her, and we need such loud abrasive women leaders in the Asian community, but she is attacking the very people she has been working with for over twenty years. Her Jobs fair is wonderful...She needs to stop using words like "bring in the thugs" etc. This is what is giving weapons to the other side to attack people who could benefit her - her constituents.
While one must admire Maxine Waters for her bluntness, brazenness and brutal comments on the President and his ability to deliver on his promises...this woman never looks at her own Congress where a bunch of clueless representatives: arrogant, tribalistic, lazy and corrupt people don't do their job...but she wants the President to wave a magic wand and save her constituents with the lowest graduation rate, highest crime and poverty that she did not solve even when Cal was doing well. How are people electing these kind of minorities who betray them over and over again? She now wants thugs to come and bully the President. That would give weapons to people like Perry and Bachmann who cannot stand her looks anyway. Talk about a loud woman with a misplaced aggression. Get back to school Maxine and get your MA - and not in some "administration" work. She is beginning to annoy minorities. Rf4KP8Y
Well, Lam, there is no amount of establishment “education” one can attain that will ever make one any more righteous or sincere about their principled stances on socioeconomic justice. Say what you want about failed strategies, but please be specific. Any progressive views, ideas, or policies proposed in Congress, either, independently or through the Democrat Party are invariably shot down by the corporate-driven leadership when it comes down to a collective Democratic Congressional vote, as was the case with the so-called “People’s Budget” earlier this year.
(By the way, isn’t Obama supposed to be something of a Democrat leader? And, yet, what leadership has he demonstrated by capitulating over and over again and handing everything over to the Republicans without a fight or ever going to the people? We understand this is all political theatre between Democrats and Republicans, as the Black Agenda Report, economist Richard Wolff, and others have long stated. No, Obama cannot work magic and no one is calling for that. But he hasn’t even fought for his own constituency or gone to the people. He has been a total disaster and fraud.)
Obama has betrayed his constituency on virtually every level from political economy (favouring Wall Street over Main Street), immigrants rights (favouring the draconian S-Comm and deporting record numbers of immigrants, people who are essentially economic refugees as a result of self-serving U.S. foreign policies), environmental issues (refusing to take a principled, progressive stance against oil drilling, etc.), peace (by expanding U.S. imperialism and NATO interventionism, predicated upon arbitrary ‘humanitarianism,’ yet actually motivated by corporate profiteering, as poverty increases in the U.S.), and on and on. But this was obvious to many of us back in 2008. Only too few of us were willing to reject the twin-corporate parties and fight for opening the debates, true electoral reform, and principled grass-roots challenges to the Democrat and Republican dictatorship.
Almost daily, atomised groups, organisations, and non-profits encourage thousands, if not millions, to beg Obama to do the right thing by their single-issue of the day.
Mostly, Obama ignores the masses and serves corporations and elites because he figures his base will continue to support him unconditionally.
It's likely the current Keystone XL Pipeline issue will be no different from his past betrayals, threatening the Ogallala Aquifer and our planet with petrochemical pollution and man-made climate change. When will we learn, raise our class-consciousness, and unite against the highly organised elites playing us against one another?
It's time the masses Obama continues to ignore reconsider supporting Obama/Democrats and instead fight for electoral reform, open debates, and independent or third-party challenges to Democrat and Republican hegemony.
If millions of U.S. people openly rejected Obama and Democrat politics, starting with KPFA broadcasters, and moved to the left, Democrats might start to listen or get voted out of office.
One thing's for certain, business as usual can only continue to harm the state of our nation and the planet.
