Keep up the great work Ms. C. Casey! Its been almost 10 yrs.
Very informative. =)

Just a quick note on the idea

Just a quick note on the idea that the Prius needs some sort of noise to alert bicyclists. I think the problem is not that the Prius is too quiet, but that everything else is too loud. Priuses sneak up on people because we're used to the sound of traffic--it's louder than we tend to realize! Once everything is as quiet as the Prius, they won't startle us any more. So I hate to hear anyone advocate making the Prius louder; that's a step in the wrong direction. Even with a "pleasant" sound like music, because what is pleasant to one person may be grating to another. My bicycle has been my primary form of transportation for many years in SF and other cities, and I think the answer as we move in a quieter direction is simply for both cyclists and motorists to be more aware of who is on the road with them. When I am present and paying attention, I know where all the vehicles on the road are, whether I hear them or not.

Thanks for hearing my two cents, and thanks for your excellent program.

I'm sorry, but it looks like

I'm sorry, but it looks like I'm going to have to play the odd-man-out on the 9/11 part of this program. If the purpose was "reclaiming 9/11 in an intentional way," then it fell way short. The program opened with the mention of the "firefighters" of 9/11." These heroes should be honored. And we should then listen to what some of them have to say. One of those firefighters is Erik Lawyer of "Firefighters for 9/11 Truth." He, at first, adamantly resisted the testimonies of other fireman who heard explosions on the scene and thus questioned the official 9/11 Commission Report on what brought the TWC buildings down. Then he slowly came around, as he investigated the issue. Now he speaks around the country, challenging the official conspiracy theory.

It took extraordinary courage for the firefighters on 9/11 to go into those burning TWC skyscrapers, but it also takes the same kind of courage as a firefighter to take a stand and go against what his brother firefighters believe happened on 9/11. The "Firefighters for 9/11 Truth" do this because they see that until the truth about what happened on 9/11 comes out, the deaths of, and injuries to, their brothers will have been in vain. They know that 9/11 has been used as a pretext for two illegal wars, for the curtailment of our civil liberties, for the institutionalization of rendition and torture, and the gutting of the economy, etc. Unfortunately, as those of us to haven't blindly and passively accepted the official story about 9/11 know, the courage to speak out is usually met with nothing more than ridiculing ad hominems of "wacko conspiracy theorist," which perforce shuts down any open debate about the "facts" at hand.

The program today spoke to out need for "healing" from 9/11. This is good. However, if the attempts at "healing," for all their good "intentions," are predicated upon a grand fabrication, a great lie, then it becomes, in reality, meaningless feel-good gesture and, perhaps, a spiritual farce. The Firefighters of 9/11 Truth feel that only the truth about what really happened about 9/11 will set the stage for the HEALING process to begin (not to mention preventing another 9/11 False Flag operation).

From my perspective, this kind of call for "healing" heard on the VA show today implicitly buys in to the cover-up campaign of 9/11, of which the 9/11 Truth Commission is the primary agent. One would have hoped that Caroline Casey (who knows it was a cover-up) would have at least mentioned this fact when talking to her guest(s). In my opinion, this well-meaning and good-intentioned type of spirituality (Caroline Casey excepted) is symptomatic of the legacy of New-Age spirituality, which seems to care more for propagating mystification than critically enlightened mysticism--not the (feeling) head and (thinking) heart together (in a coincidentia oppositorum), but the naive heart at the expense of the knowing head. "Healing"? Who is going to heal us from the myriad mystifications New Age spirituality?

PS: For those interested in beginning "healing" based upon truth, may I recommend the following documentary, "Firehouse 9/11: The Destruction of the Three World Trade Center Skyscrapers" (where you will hear first-hand, on the scene reports from firemen telling of explosions bringing down the buildings).
