Thank you producers for this

Thank you producers for this very rare effort to juxtapose--fairly--the primary competing accounts of the 9/11 incident. As a listener, I remain troubled by the loose usage of the moniker "conspiracy theorists" by proponents of the 9/11 Commission Report. The "official report" is itself a "conspiracy theory" making demonstrably remarkable and implausible claims. The gathering of powerful interests to ordain an "official story" does not make such story telling true. Mr. Kay bolsters such claims by repeated reference to "credible sources" that amount mostly to hearsay. Gone begging, still, is the science in these matters: how metal does not melt at the temperatures diffuse fire can produce; how buildings do not collapse at the speed of gravity by collapsing as imputed/ordained by the official conspiracy theory. The ordaining of reality is myth making. Science carried out according to the rigorous canon of peer review is the only arbiter in matters where hearsay has been made as if to pass for "credible". As for eye witness accounts: one at a time, they can be judged weak by a tendency for personal distortion. When eye witness accounts converge, they are remarkably resilient to disproof. Proponents of 9/11 Commission Report here disparage eyewitness accounts as if these happened only one at a time in the 9/11 incident. Scores of firefighters and other witnesses to the event provided confirmatory reports early in the day's reporting of the incident. Those reports were systematically expunged from subsequent network news reporting, along with any forensic inquiry meeting the canons of Criminology 101: secure the crime scene and canvass ALL eyewitnesses. It seems incredible that a government with the resources and power of the United States--in a city as storied for crime detection as New York--would fail this rudimentary facet of crime scene investigation. But that same government failed to scramble F-16 fighter jets, according to protocol, when the Towers were hit. And so on, and on and on. Science is a process of testing plausible hypotheses. If in the process a hypothesis withstands the test of rigorous doubt, it is the hypothesis considered "most robust" until another more robust hypothesis comes along. The official story cannot withstand rigorous doubt. According to the canons of science, more plausible hypotheses must be considered if truth seeking is, really, the objective we seek. If more story telling is the objective, then rhetorical gambits: changing the subject, oversimplification of accounts (it can't be true because it is too complicated), arguing in a circle (it must be true because it is the official story), attacking the critic (disparaging another as a "conspiracy theorist"), shifting burden of proof (I don't have to prove that box cutters were used as weapons), straw man (deliberate distortion or exaggeration of another person's claims), unwarranted assumptions (diffuse fire can melt steel in 15 minutes).

A first-rate program

A first-rate program delivered by Project Censored. We need more dialog like that. The only thing we need less of is participants being told to stay on topic when they never strayed from the topic. Cut that out and the benefit is all the much more. Thanks for a great contribution to an important topic.

This AirAmerica-refugee radio

This AirAmerica-refugee radio host has been doing a consistently stupendous podcast-- recent weeks featuring groundbreaking Sept 11 guests. Guest host for many segments = SIBEL EDMONDS!
http://peterbcollins.com/

He also occasionally fills-in at that bastion of MSM, KGO radio.. so check out the archive of one hour when he broached the topic of likely cover-up of the attacks.. the manipulated/conformist audience is largely dumbfounded:

(that's the Monday page for KGO's 1-week aircheck soundfiles .. so you have till tomorrow at 9pm to grab the 8pm-9pm mp3 file from there. (He hosted from 7 to 10, but 8 was the hour of interest.) If you're too late, ask for help here and I can post it somewhere for you..)

PEACE!
ps. HOORAY for Project Censored being on the whole Pacifica Network!! Did they get adequate chance to plug their must-read website?
