From the intro...

Mickey Huff: "Good morning. Welcome to the Morning Mix, the Project Censored Show on Pacifica Radio. I'm Mickey Huff in studio with Peter Phillips and Abby Martin. Today's show: for the entire hour we take a look at the top censored stories and media analysis for 2010-11, as we celebrate the release of Censored 2012: Sourcebook for the Media Revolution out this week on Seven Stories Press. We'll hear from professors, from students, from community contributors across the U.S. So, please stay with us for the hour as we have, again, action-packed news that you can use that the corporate media didn't want you to hear. All that after the news with Rose Ketabchi."

Also, on today's programme, "Steve Zeltzer will join us at the bottom of the hour for Work Week Radio."

when is the Original Morning

when is the Original Morning Show return?

I will not support kpfa directly but instead give money to SaveKpfa.org. SaveKpfa.org will then present my donation to kpfa.

Josh, I'm quite certain we've been over this before on KPFA's archives commentary.

Firstly, KPFA's morning broadcasts have been airing since at least the 1950s. So, your pining for "the Original Morning Show" is somewhat odd, as programmes have come and gone during that time.

Secondly, if you are interested in programming decisions at KPFA, you should support due process at KPFA by way of KPFA's Program Council, Local Station Board, and management.

Your assertions that you will not support KPFA are self-defeating because by not contributing volunteer or financial support, you are terminating your KPFA membership and, thereby, forfeiting your interest and rights to any say in KPFA's operations.

For you to say, Josh, that you "will not support kpfa directly but instead give money to SaveKpfa.org" is misguided because SaveKPFA.org is not officially related to KPFA or the Pacifica Foundation. Your decision to give money to "SaveKPFA.org" is about as relevant to KPFA or Pacifica as deciding to give that money to the Democratic Party or the Republican Party or any other foreign entity.

If you truly care about KPFA and its ability to be representative of the diversity reflected in its listenership, you will support KPFA directly as well as its necessary evolution toward a more participatory and democratic governance structure.
