Wonderful interview with Mr.Gupta. It is great to see this kind of momentum. New York city, the home of Wall Street, needed a waking up!
I have supported Obama, and have taken a lot of criticisms for being lenient towards some of his controversial policies. Liberal or not some of these policies are not "right or humane". The extra judicial killing really crossed the line of "decent Presidency, and respect for the law and order", Osama Bin Laden's assasination was controversial but one can understand it considering he had not denied masterminding the mass murders of Sept 11, and he was hiding in a country that was an ally of the US claiming to go after terrorists like him,,,while not really delivering (for ten years). But Anwar al Awlaki is a different story. What crime was he really indicted on - other than incendiary speeches, recruitment (which is not linked to any particular terrorist activity) and constant anti-American rhetoric (though he is an American). What about all the incendiary speeches against Black, Brown and Muslim people that goes on everyday in the US...including calls for more bombing, use of nuclear weapons on Muslim countrym etc.?
When is extra judicial assasination, or killing, not okay? How low is the standard? Soon are we going to kill people for disagreeing with the Supreme Leader or carrying placards of protests?
We know now how incompetent and colluding the Congress is. One had expected Obama to play carefully...but not get coopted, converted or collude. Unfortunately the latter has happened.
We have to say Goodbaa to Obama and Good Riddancism to All Republicanism
Transit Union is not the first union to become involved.
IWW gave support and came to speak and march. Also City University of New York Staff Union The PSC (20,000 members) has joined to publicly give support and speak at event. These both occurred last week.
Also - Commerical Airline Pilots came to march in uniform. You can find the photos of this online.
