I'm listening to your fund-raising/discussion with David Graeber 5 Oct. It recalls to me that there is an effort to implement what the analysis suggests, rationalization of people's access to material sustenance - which naturally includes all facets of living: food, housing, arts, sciences, recreation, relevant living. But it is rare that any of our socialists are put onto Pacifica's interviews, socialist activism being about structure that enables work toward anarchism. People without aiming for profit at all, provide the necessities through state mechanisms, unity, mutual care, to provide full availability and access for all people to the comforts/ pleasures, the material for equitable living. Once the structures are in place there is no longer need for democracy/the state, the process being the tool by which we progress the justice for which we aim, the equity which assures comfort, enjoyment unto our children's children in gentle care of Earth. The state 'withers' and ends. Anarchism is what is seen by the long view.
Democracy in capitalism of course is the method for negotiation between us and our Owners, the Ruling Class, telling us we have rights and letting our Owners deny us those.
Likely you are altogether aware that capitalism is only a system for our Owners to take profit through ownership of our labor with which THey rape Earth. Socialism communism (Marx used the terms interchangeably) is the means by which we can live for us all instead of for THem. Norma J F Harrison www.peaceandfreedom.org
