As to the Occupy demands, it seems to me the only way to counter corporate power would be to provide a legal, national right to vote, with automatic registration for all citizens at birth, 2-day weekend voting on paper ballots, counted in public at the precinct level, for all elections - City, County, State, and Federal. Occupy should stay in place until that is instituted, and then move on to other, more specific improvements to our Nation and World.
Agreed, the underlying sine qua non for long-term effects. Would this require a constitutional amendment? If so, who's going to approve it, the corporatist controlled legislators? Gotta get the $$$ out of politics first for this voting arrangement to occur.
oh I reeeeaallly want 8 hours of material only 1/2 of which is intelligible - able to be deciphered audibly: - muttered comments and questions speedily unitelligibly asked under the interviewed person, heavily accented interviewee, - thanks for telling me what I'm 'missing'. Muttered words - words spoken over your slipping tongue and lips, speeded words, dropped below volume of adjacent discussion.

"Race" is a fallacy, my embittered friend, for it presupposes subspecies. There is only one human species, Homo sapiens sapiens. Don't confuse phenotype with genotype. Yes, the phenotypic traits associated with 'ethnicities' fluctuate within a given population, just as they do even within a given family.
Read Dr. Ashley Montagu's book, Man's Most Dangerous Myth: The Fallacy of Race for more information, or simply study biology and anthropology, if you haven't already.
The notion of "race" has been hoisted upon humanity by ruling elites to divide and conquer us all. May your circle of concern widen beyond yourself or your immediate family and/or friends. Peace be unto you.
