Fred Glass is not just a labor historian (his primary job is Media Spokesman for the California Federation of Teachers). Why is that not made clear by you and other Bay Area media. It took me less than five minutes on Google to find that out. Does the CFT support the "general strike" being called by the outside agitators and anarchists? If not, they should pubicly say so.
Why are these people camping overnight, are they homeless? If that many people are homeless you'd think that would be a major focus of their protest. I find it interesting that OO can express such animosity for the police and not hesitate to call 911 if they need assistance. Someone explain to me the organic process between camping out and effecting change in the way our government is in bed with big corporations? Our vote is our voice but the 99% have been talking smack by voting for Obama (or any republican or democrat) who gave trillions to his sponsors. These people should be performing public ablutions not carrying signs.
