Also, I have never listened to "Over the Edge" before. Now I am intrigued. I will check it out.

Thanks for identifying the music. I just found a used copy of the CD for just a couple of bucks and bought it. Thank you! I am a self-confessed music addict, so these things are important to me.

Yes, I was right! The track is "Heaven and Hell, Pt. II", on the album Heaven and Hell, by Vangelis. There are only two tracks on this album on iTunes. That particular sequence starts at about 10 minutes in to the track (slight variation), but what you're looking for starts at 14 minutes into the track. Enjoy!

I would like to know that the music is that began your show on the morning of 10/28/2011. This is the female vocal without lyrics that had what sounded like a synthesized symphonic background, and that began just after Dirk Richardson finished talking. P.S. I'll make this worth your while by sending you some amazing music that I'll bet you have never heard.

Somehow I vaguely remember a possibility that the vocal was from the artist Vangelis, possibly the album "Heaven and Hell" (1975). I's going to buy the album on iTunes and will let you know if it's in there! I've always enjoyed Vangelis, so it's worth a shot. I may be completely wrong, but I'll let you know.
