I couldn't get in on the call-in today in time but I wanted to relay a few things about credit unions:
1. I used to work for one of them in the 90's. I doubt if things have changed for the better since then in that although they are organized around members being share-holders, even though the members vote for the board of directors, the CUs operate basically the same as the "rigged" dominant system where only those in or service of the 1% get elected.
2. Credit unions thrive on debt, thus the name "credit" union. We need to get away from a debt-based economy.
Perhaps Dennis can ask Catherine about these issues the next time.
