The brother hit it on the head! This 99% thing is just folks crying over waning privilege!
Don't trust SaveKPFA's spin. They've blatantly distorted reality in the past and will likely continue to do so, until they drive out any and all who questions their "SaveKPFA" faction, formerly known as "Concerned Listeners," formerly known as "KPFAForward."
This patronage clique, allied with a faction of the Democratic Party only cares about power and controlling KPFA and Pacifica.
Consider other sources of information, such as www.SupportKPFA.org
looks like a divide and conquer tragedy. Get us all fighting amongst ourselves while they slowly take over.
Pacifica to put KPFA's money in B of A?
While the Occupy Wall Street protests have inspired record numbers of people to move their money out of corporate mega-banks, Pacifica management is trying to move its stations' money in. (KPFA's business manager has solicited a proposal from a local bank that would cost $20,000 per year less in fees).
KPFA workers uncover retirement shortfalls.
Union workers at KPFA say that Pacifica has been shorting their retirement accounts.
KPFA general manager Andrew Phillips and Pacifica's executive director Arlene Engelhardt threatening legal action if they shared the information.
Engelhardt eventually responded, admitting the payments were overdue but saying they had finally been made. "They've not paid for lost interest"
The 403B Payments Are Entirely Current wrote:
"As usual, Save KPFA distorts the truth. Christina Huggins and the CWA Local 9415 were notified last week that all pension payments were current."
