It's definitely worth a listen; I think you'll love it! It's in the KPFA archives, at http://www.kpfa.org/archive/id/82727

Thank you Mary. A must hear, terrific interview. Congratulations JR!
I doubt that you would have heard a talk like this as a tourist in Ghana where I spend quite a bit if time, On the sudden death of Atta Mills. Vice President John Dramani Mahama is now President of Ghana. They talked about week ago..he to US and non African audiences and He explains many things that we simply don't know. I had read the WSJ book review of his "My First Coup d'Etrat." Now I'm going to read it asap.
My wife Wanda just spoke to a friend in Ghana. Yesterday "everyone" was crying and "everyone" was wearing funeral clothes of black, darkish red and dark brown.

What on earth is the problem with this show? There is absolutely nothing in it that is offensive in any way. KPFA management needs to clarify its position - unless its position is as hopelessly racist as it has always been, under the guise of being listener sponsored of and for all people - it is only listener sponsored for a certain moneyed section of white people. ALL POWER TO THE PEOPLE
Mr. Andrew Phillips,
If it is true that you are pressuring JR for as a result of this program, I ask you what? exactly did you or anyone else at the station find offensive? I was once a listener sponsor, dropped out when the station started to go too mainstream for my taste (not to mention all the internal petty fighting), then came back because I liked the energy and optimism YOU brought in AND the fact that you promoted young talent like JR and others. Please stop "sweating" JR! he is doing a great! besides him and the poor news network and flashpoints, and Davey D.........the station would be seriously in trouble!!
