Mitch - you forgot to intercede - with Greenwald - with reasonable analysis. We didn't expect Obama to change anything, for starters. We weren't disappointed or surprised. Listing the same situations over and over is not developmental - which we need.
I disagree with your statement on today's program that Social Security is nearly bankrupt. Here's what Bernie Sanders has to say:
Let's be clear. Social Security has a $2.5 trillion surplus, can pay out every benefit owed to every eligible American for the next 25 years, and, most importantly, because it is funded by the payroll tax Social Security has not contributed one penny to our national debt. Social Security should not be cut, as virtually every Republican, and some Democrats, wanted to see. In fact, Social Security should be strengthened and, as you know, I am supporting several pieces of legislation to do just that.
