Thanks for your passionate expression of concern and empathy for our urgent and dangerous grassroots work to halt tar sands equipment transports on Highway 95 through Moscow (http://wildidahorisingtide.org/). We are grateful for your deliberations of our ethical dilemma of both battling the relentless onslaught of industrial destruction and oppression while nurturing our creativity and survival as a movement. Strategies are not easily formulated within the lopsided power differential between dismissed rural Idahoans and the brute corporate force of ExxonMobil. Nonetheless, we trust that the collective struggles of our comrades – the victims of the Gulf spill, mountaintop removal, tar sands pipeline ruptures, and highway invasions – will ultimately prevail against the injustices of dirty energy companies, industry-sponsored police, and American despondency.
