Guns and Butter

"A Debate On How To Get Out of the Euro" with Marshall Auerback, Michael Hudson, William K. Black and Stephanie Kelton in Rimini, Italy. What withdrawal from the Euro system would mean for households and businesses in Italy; how to manage savings; what would likely happen in a return to sovereign currency; how the government and National Bank of Italy could manage the change; monetary and fiscal policy; interest rates; bond markets; loss of national power due to the rules of the Stability and Growth Pact and the inability to set employment policy.

Thank you very much for

Thank you very much for covering MMT. It is VERY SAD that everywhere suffering continues unabated because of the banksters and their political minions, whose never-ending cry is that we "can't afford" the obvious solutions. I am totally surprised to see from the video that the MMT panelists are not all bald. I would have thought they would have pulled out all their hair by now.

IMO, G&B is the most cutting

IMO, G&B is the most cutting edge show on KPFA. No where does one hear the likes of Michael Hudson, W.K. Black and others. To be fair DNow! has had Hudson on as a guest, but very seldom. I would like to hear more from the good folks from UMKC in future, especially since they are virtually absent elsewhere.
For example, the so-called progressive website Common Dreams, only posts neoclassical economists like Robert Reich and the like, never Hudson, Black, Kelton etc. Once in a while, Dean Baker or Mark Weisbrot, but no Hudson, no Steve Keen.

Speaking of Prof Keen, he would be an excellent guest: his latest edition of Debunking Economics is a magnum opus.

If, to afford a new deal

If, to afford a new deal style job guarantee, Italy's sovereign debt "could be written down" and re-denominated in the lire (if they dropped the euro to assume a sovereign currency that the dollar presumably represents) ...and in the US "homes that are currently underwater could be purchased at a fair market price by the government and then leased back to the owners over time" (so nobody would loose their home)...it begs the question of why we don't do the obvious...but previous Guns 'n Butter covering JFK/RFK/MLK assassinations, the 2000 and '04 Jim Crow vote frauds and inside job PNAC directed 9-11-01 false flag domestic terrorism tell us why.

Yes, the shows, epic shows of

Yes, the shows, epic shows of monumental proportions, about JFK/RFK/MLK/911/etc/ect, sure tell us the government is rogue. A group of criminals that make the Italian mafia look like girl scouts. They are robbing us blind.
