I hope very much that Kris misspoke when she compared union and non union labor to paid and UNPAID labor when discussing Wisconsin. The tensions exploited by the likes of Walker et al between private sector and union labor (as well as between different union workforces) in Wisconsin and elsewhere are manipulated based on comparisons of BENEFITS and EARNINGS. The unpaid staff of KPFA can in no way be compared to disgruntled paid workers easily manipulated by right wing corporate tools like Walker into undermining their own quality of life by attacking unions. If it was intentional, the comparison is shocking, and insulting.
