I really must take my hat off to these wonderfully gifted speakers who can break down these really difficult to understand issues and be able to explain them in ways that help people like myself to see past the foggyness. They're insight is clarity, and clarity helps us all to see the devil which is always hidden in the foggy details.
I loved the way Robert Scheer called the host on that bogus cigarette tax measure. Could Alfandary, Jeseritch, their "guests" who hold forth simply read the bill? Just because the cig companies are against it doesn't make it good. Those who would decide how to spend the money: chancellors and other top-level bureaucrats. 20% to "construction. It looks to me as if a significant chunk would go to General Electric for controversial x-ray machines "screening" - studies still being buried about the dubious value of mamography on balance for detecting versus causing cancer in many women.
Wasn't that interesting the way Maldari called Scheer "ranting" about 2 minutes after his own very schrill diatribe that far outdid Scheer?
