Letters and Politics

In 1838 the British East India Company amassed an enormous army and invaded Afghanistan.  Four years later, in full retreat, Britain was handed the same fate as Darius the Great, Alexander the Great and later the Soviet Union.  Today we’ll talk about what became known as the First Anglo-Afghan War with historian Diana Preston.  But first we’ll look at the upcoming and very important Mexican Presidential elections with Laura Carlsen and John Gibler.
