- The State Attorney General will sue the 3 supermarket chains involved in a labor dispute with Southern California grocery workers - Bill Lockyer alleges the companies violated antitrust laws with their mutual aid pact
- President Bush says he wants to know the facts about any intelligence failures concerning Iraq's non-existent weapons of mass destruction but he declines to endorse calls for an independent investigation
- In Britain another resignation at the BBC in that country's Iraq weapons scandal
