Well this is the third time I

Well this is the third time I have asked Dean Baker a question what at its heart asked him to draw a distinction between the metrics of our present system and the reality of the real economy. In other words many of us may not be paying much in taxes, but on the other hand we may be doing a larger share of the real work in the real economy. Therefore we may not be contributing taxes for the government but we are contributing at least our share of the general creation of the goods and services which makes up the general public good. This fundamental failure to not acknowledge that folks may not be compensated properly for their work to begin with seems relatively ignored by DB. Also it seems he is simply unable to talk economics from the frame of simply how long it takes to make stuff. I would hope economists would see this as more fundamental than interest rates, tax rates, and all the rest that is involved with these symbolic representations of what can be referred to simply as work, and the stuff that results from work which is goods and services

I think DB gives a good talk in terms of traditional economic responses, but in my opinion he has serious limitations in terms of radical and cutting edge critiques
