Mitch might like to consider whether he really wants to pronounce 'pundit' as though it were spelled 'pundent'.
thanks for this informative show, mitch.
Dear Mitch,
I always enjoy your program which is one of the few that actually treats the audience as having a credible intelligence. In this spirt I would like to offer two observations:
I heard that you like Dan Calin programs very much, but there were two places where I thought it would have better served your audience if you had offer something of a counter to his analysis: first, when he referred to the presidential debate committee as always having been suspect I believe it would have been useful to distinguish its procedure under the auspices of the League of Women's Voters, which for all its limitations, was far different from what we have experienced under the current commission.
Second, it is really bizarre to compare Rome and contemporary capitalism without making reference to the profound differences between a modern capitalist and one run as agricultural and slave oriented. Send him one of Marx's accounts; Capital, perhaps.
You and I exchanged a series of notes a very long time ago and then, though I wrote to you a few times, I never received a reply. I am curious about the abrupt change.
Sincerely,
Richard Lichtman
