I'm a member. I've listened for decades. I have answered phones. I listen every day.
Does anyone other than me think that Marc Mericle's angle on the news is out of step with the mission of KPFA?
If this view is shared by others, how do we change this situation?
I was a civilian refugee aid worker along the Cambodian border during the early years of the Khmer Ruge. Unequivocally the KR was at its onset a campaign of the CIA encouraged to attack Vietnamese villages and committ atrocities based largely on racial/ethnic antagonisms across the border. I spoke to these people. I know. The way to understand the KR is as an early version of what they did in Afganistan with the Mujahadeen. The strategy of destabilization is so depraved that ordinary people, to thier credit, find the consequences impossible to understand.
